Hydraulic not bi-fold door

Where One-Piece Hydraulic Doors Got Their Start

The one-piece hydraulic door got its start in 1994, when a Cottonwood, Minnesota welding shop got a call from a customer searching for a solution and frustrated what the door industry was offering. The customer was looking for a shed door, larger than a roll-up could accommodate, and much sturdier than the rickety bi-fold.

The welding shop owners and employees rose to the challenge, and after a bit of trial and error, Hydroswing was born. The hydraulic door's advantage over bi-fold doors, roll up doors and overhead doors was instantly obvious, and the small company began to have an immediate impact on the door industry.

Being invented in a welding shop, however, made for limited exposure for such an innovative solution to a more and more common frustration.

Ironically enough, it was another customer, who again was unsatisfied with the available roll-up door and bi-fold door options, that would mean the “reinvention” and “rebirth” of the Hydroswing Door Company.

This time it was aviation enthusiast and innovative entrepreneur Marshal Parker who, after extensive research, discovered the Hydroswing Company and immediately recognized the simple genius of the Hydroswing technology.

So enthralled by the untapped potential of the product, Mr. Parker not only purchased a door – but the entire company!

Since that time, Hydroswing has emerged to take its well-deserved place at the forefront of the door industry. Providing doors both large and small, Hydroswing delivers unequaled quality, strength and security, and is backed by a team of people who are committed to building relationships with their customers that last as long as their doors!
