The one-piece hydraulic door got its start in 1994, when a Cottonwood, Minnesota welding shop got a call from a customer searching for a solution to the  current line up the door industry was offering. The customer was looking for a shed door, larger than a roll-up could accommodate, and much sturdier than a rickety bi-fold. The hydraulic advantage was instantly obvious, and the small company began to have an immediate impact on the door industry.

Today, we proudly embrace our heritage of small, agricultural beginnings, and bring that philosophy forward, incorporating it with the modern technological requirements of today - a combination that has placed us firmly at the top of our game in the large door market. The People

Even through our growth, customer service remains our priority.  Hydroswing recently established sales, service and installation facilities in San Diego, California and the United Kingdom to provide first line sales and support to our customers on the Pacific and across the Atlantic.

The Technology
Hydroswing combines strength, commitment, and design engineering
across the full range of products, enabling our customers – large
and small – to rest assured, the product they buy has been
engineered utilizing full Finite Element Analysis (FEA, see diagram),
ensuring Hydroswing’sstrength, reliability and integrity is passed from
the team who manufactured it, to the customer who bought it, for a lifetime of
strong, solid performance.

The Inovation
Innovations and increased production capacity to in excess of
several thousand doors per year, including aircraft hangar doors,
agricultural doors, commercial and architectural doors, and now
the THD, T-Hangar Door line and AGD agricultural lines. And the
introduction of our BFD, large door product line, in the
30Meter - 60Meter range, see us set to lead and dominate across all
markets. Hydroswing in Europe is selling increased quantities to our export
market with all products being manufactured in our US facility for added scale
economies flowing to you the customer in the form of lower prices and better product.

Advances in the understanding of our product and our customers have resulted in unmatched innovation, including our patented side trussing, which allows us to make our largest door to date at 150 feet wide by 40 feet tall, and we have design in progress which will deliver the world’s first Solar-Hydraulic hangar building system, to be unveiled in 2010.
