The one-piece hydraulic door got its start in 1994, when a small Minnesotan fabrication company got a call from a farmer, searching for a 'solution' to the current line up that the door industry was offering.

The customer was looking for a farm door to fit his existing agricultural building; that offered more than 7 metre width, zero to low maintenance and would keep his farm equipment secure at night.

Our hydraulic door was instantly obvious, and the small rural company which soon became Hydroswing, began to have an immediate impact on the door industry.

Today from our home in Preston, Lancashire, Hydroswing Ltd proudly embrace our heritage of small beginnings from across the atlantic and bring that philosophy forward, incorporating it with the modern British requirements of today, a combination that has placed us firmly at the top of our game for customers in the market for a total door solution.

Our new production and manufacturing facilities, opened in Preston Lancashire at the end of 2010, provide our growing commitment to being physically closer to our customers and provide a gateway to our sales, warranty and manufacturing expertise.

Innovation and R&D

New Innovations and design improvements at our research and development facilities in San Diego, CA, continue to raise the bar for the standards in aviation hangar doors, doors for agricultural buildings and overhead commercial doors.

The recent introduction of our HydroMAX™ large hydraulic door product line for the 50-plus metre wide range, see Hydroswing servicing the large commercial hangar door and maintenance and repair hangar door markets. Meanwhile our patented side trussing allows us to reach over 13 metres tall, providing a solid and efficient door solution for the mining door and shipyard door markets.
